As the winter chill begins to settle in, the Laredo Independent School District (LISD) is ensuring that every student stays warm and ready to learn. This week, the LISD Office of Communications proudly hosted its 16th Annual "Coat Them With Love" Coat Distribution.
For sixteen years, this initiative has been a staple of the district's holiday season giving, driven by a simple mission: to provide warmth and comfort to students.
Dozens of students were fitted with brand-new winter jackets, ensuring they are prepared for the dropping temperatures. The atmosphere at the distribution was one of joy and relief, as students zipped up their new coats, ready to face the cold with confidence.
"Coat Them With Love" is more than just a donation drive; it is a reminder that LISD cares for the whole child, supporting their well-being inside and outside the classroom. Thanks to the hard work of the Office of Communications and the generosity of the community, these students are now wrapped in the warmth of their school district’s support.
