Red Ribbon Week

Laredo Independent School District is proud to invite students, staff, and families to join in celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 26 through October 30, 2026. Under the guiding theme "Be Kind, Make Healthy Choices, Live Drug Free," LISD is taking an active stand against drug abuse and vaping while promoting positive, healthy lifestyles across all schools.

Throughout the week, students can show their commitment by participating in fun daily themed dress-up events:

  • Monday, Oct 26 – "Go Red for Red Ribbon Week": Kick off the campaign by wearing your favorite red shirt to take a stand for a drug-free life.

  • Tuesday, Oct 27 – "Drug Free from Head to Toe": Let your creativity shine by sporting crazy hair and fun, wild socks!

  • Wednesday, Oct 28 – "Cowboy Up & Give Drugs the Boot": Dust off your boots and wear your best Western attire.

  • Thursday, Oct 29 – "Super Heroes Don't Do Drugs! Don't Vape!!": Show that real heroes make healthy choices by wearing a superhero shirt and cape.

  • Friday, Oct 30 – "Say BOO to Drugs": Wrap up the week in style by wearing your school-approved Halloween costume!

Red Ribbon Week is a powerful reminder that every choice counts. By standing together, we empower our youth to Be Drug Free, Be Healthy, Be Strong, and Be You. Join LISD in making a positive difference in our community this October!
