Principal
I am a graduate of Martin High School. I attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. Later, I earned my Masters in Reading and Psychology from Laredo State University. I also obtained my Mid-management certificate Texas A & I at Kingsville. I have been employed with Laredo Independent School District for the past thirty years. Early in my career, I served as Reading Clinic teacher for ten years. I served as Curriculum Specialist for eight years at C.L. Milton, T.Sanchez, and J. Kawas Elementary Schools. I started my principalship at C.L. Milton Elementary for three years, then transfered to J.A. Kawas for seven years. Presently, I am Principal at A. M. Bruni Elementary, home of the mighty Bruni Badgers "Where Learning has no Boundaries". Our new facility can be seen from northbound Interstate Highway 35 as you enter the freeway. Our new school includes an enrollment of 640 students from Pre-Kinder to 5th. grade including Special Education. We have a hard working faculty and staff committed to excellence in education.
