Principal's Message

Dear families of Bruni Elementary School,

Happy Holidays!!  This is a wonderful time of the year, but also very busy.  In the month of December, several activities take place at our campus and our district. We would also like to extend an invitation for our Library Evening which will be held on Monday, December 16 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

With many activities planned out we still continue to work towards building all academic areas with our students.  Parents, I remind you that your help and support in bringing your children to school everyday is very important to us.   With the holiday break in December fast approaching, we would like for students to do a little independent reading each day.  According to many different studies, students that read daily improve their memory, are more engaged, can comprehend, increase their intelligence, and can concentrate better than students that don’t. Reading is such a powerful tool for building a child’s mind.

We would also like to take some to time this December to focus on kindness and compassion.  During this holiday season, I am reminded of a quote “Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.  Without them humanity cannot survive,” Dalai Lama. As parents and educators, we are role models to our children and lets take this opportunity to show them what a little difference kindness and compassion can make in someone's life.

As winter break is near, please remember that school will be closed from Dec. 20, 2019 through Jan. 7, 2020.  Class will resume on Jan. 8, 2020 at their regular scheduled time.

I wish you a safe, restful holiday season and a very happy new year!
